Common Features

Before getting into the actual trim details, let's cover some of the basic specifications, starting with the two powertrain offerings. Both are available in rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive and are attached to a 10-speed automatic transmission. You have a turbocharged 3.4-liter i-FORCE V6 that produces up to 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, with a towing capacity of 12,000 lbs and a payload of 1,940 lbs. It gets an EPA-estimated 18 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway in rear-wheel drive or 17 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway in four-wheel drive.

The turbocharged 3.4-liter i-FORCE MAX V6 is a hybrid powertrain combining an internal combustion engine with a NiMH battery pack that powers an electric motor. The i-FORCE MAX produces 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque, with a towing capacity of 11,450 lbs and a payload of 1,680 lbs. The hybrid is rated for 20 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway in rear-wheel drive or 19 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway in four-wheel drive.

The 2024 Tundra is available in two cab formats, including a Double Cab featuring two full doors and two half doors and a CrewMax cab that features four full-size doors. The Tundra can seat up to five people in both cab formats, with the CrewMax offering more passenger volume. You also have three different bed sizes, including a 5.5-foot short bed, a 6.5-foot standard bed, and an 8.1-foot long bed.

2024 Toyota Tundra SR

The Tundra SR trim represents the entry-level trim for those who simply want a Tundra with the most basic features available and no additional bells or whistles. The SR comes standard in a Double Cab format with the 6.5-foot bed, but you can have it configured with the 8.1-foot bed. Additionally, the SR is available as a CrewMax with the 5.5-foot bed. It comes with the base i-FORCE V6 in rear-wheel drive but can be configured with four-wheel drive.

An aluminum-reinforced composite bed comes standard, along with 18-inch steel wheels. You get standard infotainment compatibility with an eight-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, along with a Smart Key System with Push Button Start. Power windows, power locks, a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet, and a 4.2-inch digital driver display all come standard. You also have four-way manual front seats, Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity, and the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 safety suite.

2024 Toyota Tundra SR5

The SR5 features everything the SR does but has a few more options available, including being able to pair the CrewMax cab with the 6.5-foot bed. The SR5 also swaps the steel wheels for 18-inch silver alloy wheels. It adds a power rear window and includes a Class IV tow hitch receiver, a wiring harness with seven-pin and four-pin connectors, and a Tow/Haul mode. The SR5 features a full LED lighting array, along with all-season tires and 9.3 inches of ground clearance.

However, the SR5 can be outfitted with the TRD Off-Road Package, which improves its off-roading capabilities by including Michelin LTX Trail all-terrain tires, a TRD grille, skid plates, Bilstein shocks, “TRD Off-Road” decals, a TRD leather-wrapped shift knob, and aluminum pedals. Additionally, while the SR5 comes standard with the eight-inch infotainment display, you have the option to upgrade it with the 14-inch touchscreen.

2024 Toyota Tundra Limited

The Tundra Limited begins introducing the more luxury-oriented aspects of the Toyota Tundra. However, it doesn't attempt to price drivers out of a truck with luxury elements, so you could consider it a luxury-lite trim. Its premium nature is evident from the exterior, which features a chrome surround for the grille and 20-inch gray-painted machined-finish aluminum alloy wheels. You have a full LED array, much like the SR5, but there is an optional package that adds sequential turn signals and automatic headlight leveling for those who want it.

The Limited is available in multiple cab and bed formats with either the i-FORCE or i-FORCE MAX powertrain in rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. It sports heated side mirrors with auto anti-glare and an adjustable deck-rail system in the bed. Inside, you have interior LED map lights, a soft-touch instrument panel, and a 12.3-inch digital driver display. The 14-inch touchscreen also comes standard, along with a HomeLink universal transceiver. The eight-way power-adjustable front seats are heated and ventilated with SofTex upholstery, featuring lumbar support and driver seat memory. You also have dual-zone automatic climate control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel to top off the luxury elements.

2024 Toyota Tundra Platinum

The Tundra Platinum offers more upscale features and content than the Limited. For instance, the Platinum features a dark chrome mesh grille with a dark chrome surround. You have 20-inch dark gray painted alloy wheels, and it comes standard with the premium LED lighting array featuring auto-leveling adjustment. You have rain-sensing wipers, a bed-mounted 120-volt, 400-watt AC power outlet, and special gloss-black “Platinum” badging on the door.

A panoramic power sunroof comes standard on the Platinum, along with an illuminated instrument panel and pocket lights. A Panoramic View Monitor also comes standard on the Platinum as part of the infotainment suite, along with a Qi wireless charging pad. Additionally, the Platinum has the option of adding a 10-inch color head-up display for those who want it. The Platinum caps off its luxury offerings with 10-way power-adjustable leather seats, including heated and ventilated rear seats. It also adds a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel.

2024 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition

The Tundra's 1794 Edition is a unique trim, available with either the standard i-FORCE or the available i-FORCE MAX engine in rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The 1794 Edition is only available in a CrewMax cab, but it sports a full chrome mesh grille with a matching chrome surround, giving it a very distinct look compared to the other trims. It sports 20-inch machined-finish alloy wheels, along with the premium LED lights from the Platinum. The 1794 Edition, however, adds special badging to both the exterior and the interior, including a “1794 Edition” laser-etched badge on the American walnut wood grain interior trim. The interior of this truck retains all of the other luxury accouterments from the Platinum.

If the 1794 Edition of the Tundra wasn't unique enough, the 1794 Limited Edition takes all of those features and goes even further. It does this with a unique blacked-out exterior and exclusive tailgate design, along with a 1.1-inch suspension lift and FOX shocks for a superior ride. Inside, you have ultra-premium leather upholstery from the Saddleback Leather Company, and Toyota throws in matching leather accessories, including an overnight bag, tool roll, and more. However, only 1,500 units of this exclusive model will be sold.

2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro

The TRD Pro is the dedicated off-road trim for the 2024 Tundra. It's only available in a CrewMax format with the 5.5-foot short bed and comes standard with the i-FORCE MAX powertrain and four-wheel drive. The TRD Pro features a rugged exterior with 18-inch matte-black forged aluminum BBS wheels tucked inside Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires. The TRD Pro forgoes a lot of the luxury elements in exchange for rugged utility, including a black Toyota heritage grille with an integrated light bar and amber marker lights.

You have an aluminum TRD front skid plate and red-painted front coil springs. Additional off-road features include an electronically locking rear differential and an off-road-tuned suspension featuring FOX shock absorbers with a 1.1-inch front lift kit. This particular trim also comes with Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, and Downhill Assist Control for those who are serious about off-roading. In the cab, there is SoftTex interior seat trimming, all-weather floor mats, and aluminum sport pedals.

2024 Toyota Tundra Capstone

The absolute top-of-the-line offering for the 2024 Tundra is the Capstone. This top-grade, luxury edition of the light-duty pickup comes standard with the i-FORCE MAX engine and four-wheel drive with a CrewMax cab and a 5.5-foot bed box. It sports 22-inch dark chrome machined-finish alloy wheels, power running boards, and a BedStep. Adaptive Variable Suspension and Load-leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension are available. You have a dark chrome mesh grille with a color-keyed surround and an easy lift and lower tailgate.

Unique Capstone badging is featured throughout the exterior and interior. You have all of the luxury accouterments from the lower trims, along with some added features, such as the Capstone instrument panel badge on the dark American walnut wood-grain interior trim. You also have semi-aniline leather-trimmed seats with premium contrast stitching and four-way power lumbar support. The Capstone also sports Capstone-themed floor mats just to top off its features.
